The NCAA men’s and women’s soccer tournaments are underway in all three divisions. Three universities in Ohio remain in contention for championships. Akron, Otterbein, and Ohio Northern each have teams competing this weekend.

The Akron Zips earned the 5th seed and a first-round bye in the men’s DI tournament after winning the MAC championship. Akron will host either Washington or Seattle at First Energy Stadium on Sunday, November 19 at 1:00 PM.

The Otterbein Cardinals men have already advanced to the third round of the DIII tournament. Otterbein shutout Medaille (2-0) in the opening round and held off Kenyon (3-2) in round two. The Cardinals will face St. Thomas at the Holmgren Athletic Complex in Chicago on Saturday, November 18. First kick is scheduled for 2:30 PM.

On the women’s side, the Ohio Northern Polar Bears have also advanced to the third round of the DIII tournament. ONU eliminated both Penn State-Behrend and Illinois Weslyan with scores of 2-0 in the first and second rounds of the tournament, respectively. Head Coach Mark Batman has his side prepared to meet William Smith at Cozzens Field in Geneva, NY on Saturday, November 18 at 11 AM.
