Cleveland SC released a preliminary roster of players it will field in a home-and-home series against FC Columbus this weekend. The list was cultivated following an open tryout held by the club last weekend. It is no surprise to see a number of former AFC Cleveland players on the list. Local universities are also represented well.
According to the Cleveland SC front office, many of these players have already been signed for the 2018 NPSL season. Head Coach Ryan “Ozzy” Osborne needs to get a look at some of the others in a game setting before deciding whether or not to extend an offer. A final roster will be announced when Osborne has made those decisions.
Cleveland SC will host FC Columbus at Highland Stadium in Medina at 7:30 PM on Friday, April 13. Cleveland will travel to face Columbus at Grandview Heights High School on Sunday, April 15. Both matches are friendlies ahead of the NPSL regular season.
